The American G.I. Forum (AGIF) is a Congressionally chartered veterans and civil rights organization. Its motto is "Education is Our Freedom and Freedom should be Everybody's Business". AGIF currently operates chapters throughout the United States, with a focus on veteran's issues, education, and civil rights.

For more than 45 years, the American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) has maintained a steadfast commitment to serving our nation’s veterans. From advocating for veterans of the Vietnam era to being at the forefront of services for a new generation of service members transitioning to civilian life, the NVOP is united by our unbreakable commitment to give our heroes and their families the opportunities they deserve.
